Meet the Producer …

This nativity was made by a member of a cooperative group in the Holy Land who are striving to alleviate local poverty, decrease both unemployment and levels of emigration through keeping alive a traditional craft industry that has been in steep decline following the increased political unrest over recent years. As members of the International Fair Trade Association (IFAT), the cooperative is based on the recognised principles of Fair Trade and today directly benefits over 900 individuals in the region.
