Our flower cards create jobs for marginalised communities  in The Philippines.

They have been made by Salay Handmade Products, a fair trade group who specialise in creating beautiful pressed flower and handmade paper products from recycled waste materials.

The paper is made using traditional methods from agricultural waste such as abaca fibre, salago bark, pineapple leaves, banana stalks and cogon grass. The design has been skilfully created using pressed flowers and dried leaves that  that are native to the region. As well as creating work and opportunities for local women, the group provide  much needed educational support for the local community including scholarships to school students.

The purchase of these cards help the artisans earn a fair and dignified wage and build a brighter future for their families.
